ShareX Color Picker

The built-in color picker lets you sample any color from your screen and get its values in multiple formats. It's an essential tool for designers, developers, and anyone working with colors on screen.

How to Use

  1. Open the color picker from the Tools menu or use the default shortcut
  2. Hover over any part of your screen to see a magnified preview
  3. Click to capture the color
  4. The color value is automatically copied to your clipboard

Supported Formats

ShareX captures colors in multiple formats simultaneously:

  • HEX — #FF5733 (web standard)
  • RGB — rgb(255, 87, 51) (design tools)
  • HSL — hsl(12, 100%, 60%) (CSS)
  • CMYK — cmyk(0%, 66%, 80%, 0%) (print)
  • Decimal — 16733923 (programming)
  • HSB/HSV — hsv(12, 80%, 100%) (graphics software)

Color Palette

The color picker also shows a recent colors palette so you can quickly access previously captured colors. You can view and manage your color history in the picker interface.
