ShareX QR Code Tool

ShareX includes a complete QR code encoder and decoder. Generate QR codes from text or URLs, and decode QR codes from images on your screen.

Encode — Creating QR Codes

1. Go to Tools → QR Code → Encode
2. Enter your text, URL, or any data you want to encode
3. ShareX generates a QR code image instantly
4. You can copy or save the QR code image

Decode — Reading QR Codes

1. Capture a screenshot containing a QR code
2. Go to Tools → QR Code → Decode
3. ShareX reads the QR code and copies the decoded content to your clipboard

Supported Data Types

• URLs (most common use)
• Plain text messages
• Contact information (vCard)
• Wi-Fi network credentials
• Phone numbers and email addresses

Tips

• Ensure QR codes are clearly visible in your screenshots for reliable decoding
• Generated QR codes can be saved as PNG for sharing or printing
